See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Reaching out on all social media’s because these two have been this kind of bitch. One of whom is known here as Rane.

My two now former roommates refused to let me have my cats when I moved my stuff out. Then they again refused to let me take my cats just now.

They have 4 cats. Their rental only allows for 2.

Cops couldn’t do shit apparently. They said take it to civil.

Nope, I took it to their property manager. They will be issued a notice to get rid of the excess cats or else.

Does this make me an asshole? Maybe.

But they chose this.

I tried to do this civily. They chose hell mode.

I can always reclaim my cats from a shelter if I have to.

They chose to kick me out. They chose to keep my cats in an unsafe environment where they could have gotten noticed at any time. They fucked around, they’re going to find out.

I wanted to just get my cats, books and bike in that order of priority.

They kept my cats and my books. I was able to retrieve the stupid bike.

They can keep the damn books, may the books end up bugridden.

But they will surrender my cats. Or lose them all.

kittiguin rambles while unsupervised ex-roommates suck bitches keeping my cats for what reason? I tried nice now hell's coming with me

Perhaps someone can explain to me this reasoning…

I was kicked out of where I was living, that’s fine I am better off now.

But.

My former roommates are refusing to relinquish my cats to me citing “They won’t be happy.”

Meanwhile:

Where they are, the property manager doesn’t know that they have 4 cats when they are only paying for 1. Once they do find out, 2 or 3 of those cats will be forcibly removed and taken to one of the animal shelters.

Guess which 2 of those 2 or 3 will be? Likely my 2.

And my 2 precious ones also have feline leukemia, which means it is HIGHLY unlikely that they will get adopted out.

Those two former roommates of mine are keeping my cats from me and willfully putting them in danger.

That is how I see it.

Unfortunately I still cannot find the one document that can prove I had them before I moved to Ohio. Which would prove ownership.

I don’t care at the moment that they kept my books, though I paid for them with my paychecks that I earned. Or the adult coloring book an artist friend of mine made. Or other things like gifts they gave me for my Birthday and Christmas that kept. Proving that they are insincere givers.

All that is fine, whatever, they burned bridges they hopefully will end up regretting later.

But my cats? Seriously? My emotional support cats. What the fuck?!?

kittiguin rambles while unsupervised what the fuck? seriously why do people do cruel things like this? steal from me I don't care but putting my cats in danger because of... what? What the fucking hell?

Touchscreens do not belong in cars

yu-gi-oh-slavia

And gauges and dials should be gauges and dials, not screens

taken-aurally

Door releases should have a direct mechanical link to a latch, not send an electronic signal to a servo

lithominium

You should not have to have your phone alive to unlock your car

fuckyeah-nerdery

Your ability to quickly and easily see what's behind you while driving should not be dependent on cameras instead of mirrors.

bemusedlybespectacled

I'm actually going to push back on that last one, @fuckyeah-nerdery: backing cameras in cars aren't there for drivers or for manufacturers, they're there to keep people from running over toddlers.

not even joking: car companies do not actually like backing cameras because they are the most expensive option in terms of making it easier to see what's behind you, but cameras are the only way for a driver to see something directly behind them that's shorter than their window. years of research showed that less expensive options – more or better mirrors, sensors, a bigger rearview window – did not work, and cameras did, which is why they're now a mandatory feature on cars, like seatbelts.

behold my shitty drawing explaining why:

A photo of a car from above and behind. Yellow shapes show line of vision from the windows and mirrors. A stick figure toddler is too short to be in the line of vision of the rear window.ALT

we had a whole day in my admin law class about this because it was a promulgated regulation at the time. there were a lot of people in my class who were basically "RIP to those kids but I would simply teach my baby not to stand behind cars so cameras are unnecessary" as if that was the first time anyone had thought about it.

anyway, that's a necessary safety feature like a manual lock or buttons you can feel instead of needing to look at a screen.

fuckyeah-nerdery

Oh, I'm not opposed to backup cameras. Apparently there are people who want to replace side mirrors with cameras and that just sounds like a terrible idea. I'm fine with cameras in addition to mirrors, my concern is a dangerous reliance on them and what could happen if either they or the display stops working while someone is on the interstate.

bemusedlybespectacled

well, that's just dumb AND expensive.

rhysgfrelsa-eudyptula

It is highly unlikely that they will replace the mirrors themselves with cameras.

But touch screens in cars is just progress.

Gauges and dials have been proven to actually be less accurate than those screens.

Just like how we used to test emissions on cars through the tailpipe but now we test via plugging into the OBD II port. Much more accurate and faster. (Volkswagen hated it though.)

What concerns me is all these gripes sound like a Boomer to me.

I’m a Millennial and those gripes sound like a Boomer to me.

As far as cars without mechanical door handles… just don’t buy it then, get a different car. There aren’t that many without mechanical door handles. Most that don’t are Teslas… which are a whole ‘nother can of worms.

I have yet to see a car that needs your phone to get into or start it. They do have the remote start feature which is a godsend… if you don’t think so, clearly you don’t know what snow is either.

Bring me a gripe that has some actual thought put into it.

Because these gripes remind me of what my grandparents said the gripes were about seatbelts becoming required… yes, my grandparents… the Boomers.

cars tech did you do any reaserch before griping op?

Anonymous asked:

is this how you treat the people you "protect"? by calling them civies? sorry, but my veteran father would never.

Civies is short for Civilian… and if your Veteran father doesn’t call Civilians that, that’s on him, his choice.

Ffs. You’re gonna split hairs on something that stupid? Please.

Also, I’m a Veteran, I haven’t been active duty for over 20 years. We’ve ALWAYS called civilians “civies” for short.

Come on back when you have something actually thought provoking.

kittiguin rambles while unsupervised are you serious or trolling here? because... seriously?!?
